Do I need any technical skills?
No. If you can chat with an AI assistant, you can use HostingFor.AI. We handle the domain, DNS, SSL and server setup. Your AI does the uploading and editing.
What is an MCP connector?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI assistants use outside tools. Once you add our connector, your AI can list your sites, upload files and make changes for you. You just ask it in plain English. See how to connect.
Which AI assistants does it work with?
Any assistant or coding tool that supports remote MCP connectors, including the major chat assistants and AI coding tools. If yours doesn't support connectors, you can still upload files with FTP.
Can I use a domain I already own?
Yes. Choose "I already own a domain" during signup. We'll show you the DNS settings to update at your registrar, and you can preview your site at yourdomain.com.hostingfor.ai while DNS catches up. Plans that use your own domain start with a free month.
Who owns the domain if you register it?
You do. We register it in your name on your behalf. You can point it somewhere else or transfer it whenever you like.
How does the free trial work?
Subdomain plans, and plans that use a domain you already own, start with one free month. We ask for a card at signup. It's charged the same day the next month unless you cancel first. Trials aren't available when we register a new domain for you, because the domain costs us money on day one.
Can I cancel? Are there refunds?
You can cancel anytime, and your site stays online until the end of the period you've paid for. We don't give refunds for partial periods. See the Terms of Service.
Do you provide email accounts?
Not yet. Your PHP site can send form emails, and you can point your domain's email (MX) records at any email provider you like.
What's the difference between Static and PHP + MySQL?
Static sites are HTML, CSS, JavaScript and images, which is great for business sites, portfolios and landing pages. PHP + MySQL adds server code and a database for contact forms, bookings, member areas and similar features.
Where are you available?
We currently serve customers in North, Central and South America, the Caribbean, Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific. Prices are in US dollars. Canadian customers pay GST/HST.
