Privacy Policy

J. Klassen Inc. ("we", "us") operates HostingFor.AI. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and the choices you have. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), and respect the privacy laws that apply to our customers where they live.
What we collect
- Account information: your name, business name, email address, mailing address, phone number and a securely hashed password.
- Billing information: your plan, payment history and card brand, last four digits and expiry date. Card numbers are collected and stored by Stripe, not by us.
- Domain registration information: the registrant contact details that registrars and registries require.
- Your website content: the files, databases and settings that you, your AI assistant or your authorized users upload.
- Technical information: IP addresses, browser type, and request and security logs, including sign-in attempts and verification codes.
How we use it
- to create and run your account, websites and domains;
- to take payments, calculate sales tax and keep the accounting and tax records the law requires;
- to verify your email address, and to prevent fraud, card testing, abuse and security incidents;
- to send service messages, such as verification codes, receipts, setup details, renewal and billing notices, and important changes;
- to respond to support requests and meet our legal obligations.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use it for third-party advertising.
Who we share it with
- Stripe, to process payments.
- Tucows/OpenSRS and domain registries, to register and manage domains. Depending on the domain ending and your registrant type, some registrant details may appear in public WHOIS/RDAP records, unless privacy protection is available.
- Infrastructure providers that host our servers, deliver our email and protect our network, such as our server host, email delivery provider and Cloudflare.
- AI assistants you connect: when you authorize an AI assistant through our connector, it can read and change your website's files. The AI provider handles that information under its own privacy policy.
- Authorities, when the law requires it, or to protect people's safety or our rights.
These providers may process information in Canada, the United States or other countries. Their laws may allow access by government authorities.
Cookies
We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in and to protect forms from forgery. Stripe sets its own cookies on the payment form to prevent fraud. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep account and billing records while your account is open and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting laws require (generally six years in Canada). Website files and databases are deleted after your plan ends, as described in the Terms of Service. Security logs and verification codes are kept only briefly.
Security
We use encrypted connections, hashed passwords, limits on repeated sign-in and verification attempts, and restricted access to our systems. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we'll notify you as the law requires.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, or withdraw consent for optional uses, by emailing info [at] hostingfor [dot] ai. We may need to keep some information to meet legal obligations or to finish transactions. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the privacy authority where you live.
Your website's visitors
If your website collects information from its visitors, for example through forms, you're responsible for telling them how you use it and for following the privacy laws that apply to you. For that data, we act as your service provider.
Children
The Service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information.

We'll post any changes here and update the date above. For significant changes, we'll let you know by email.
